Drayton Homes

Drayton Homes is an affordable homeownership companion to the adjacent Columbia West project in the Upham Corner neighborhood, developed on infill parcels assembled from private owners and the City of Boston.

At Drayton Homes, New Atlantic created twelve semi-attached, energy-efficient single family homes that in-fill gaps in the fabric of the Upham's Westside neighborhood.  Eleven of these new three bedroom homes were sold to first-time homebuyers earning up to 80% of area median income.  One of the homes was sold to a first-time homebuyer earning up to 110% of area median income.  The project was financed with a construction loan from Wainwright Bank and subsidy from Boston's Department of Neighborhood Development and the state's Department of Housing and Community Development.  The project was designed by ICON architecture, inc. and constructed by Ryan Construction.  The homes were completed in the fall of 2005.
